Sonny the Carpenter

Sonny put the money on the table, grabbed the cap and started to work and pull the brim. “Hey, what are you doing?“ I asked. “It just needs to be reshaped, to be softer“, he answered, softening the entire hat by pulling and yanking it wildly.

We drove there to do photo portraits of “The Carpenter”, his hat and radiant personality. I was somewhat worried about what he’d done with his hat – he had given me the impression that he’d fed it to the dog.

Patina infused, worn out and a little dented, but to our great surprise it still looked exactly like a Wearcaps should. The shape was intact, the material was complete, on top it had got its original stiffness back. Both carpenter and dog looked satisfied.
